Scott Hill Park & Sports Complex is proud to announce the receipt of a $550,000 grant from Cowlitz County, a major investment that will help us complete Phase I of construction for the park and sports complex.
This funding marks an important milestone in bringing Scott Hill Park & Sports Complex to life. Completion of Phase I will move the project closer to providing high-quality recreational spaces that support youth and adult sports, outdoor play, and community gatherings.
This grant represents more than financial support—it reflects a shared commitment to building a stronger, healthier community through parks, play, and accessible public spaces. With Cowlitz County’s partnership, Scott Hill Park & Sports Complex will continue to grow as a place where residents of all ages can connect, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors.

Phase I road and parking lot construction at Scott Hill Park & Sports Complex is back on track and in full swing. Colf Construction of Woodland is doing the current scope of work which includes paving, curbing, and storm drainage.

Bidding for the next phase of work at Scott Hill Park has officially closed! We’re thrilled to announce that the upcoming work will include 700 feet of street paving, curbs, a storm drainage catch basin, and the completion of the auxiliary field parking lot.
